Semi-private 1 h 30 classes, with personalised exercises for each student according to their level. Ideal for progressing faster, or if you are spending a few days in Valencia.

Classes of 1 h, 1 h 30 or 2 h on a single topic: women’s technique, musicality, milonga or vals. We also call them seminars. They help you polish your style.
Private tango lessons

Two Sundays a month, our guided prácticas (practilongas) let you dance what you have learned in class, with Luciano on the floor to help you. It is the natural step before going to a milonga.
Argentine tango maestro in Valencia
Luciano Blanco is from Buenos Aires. He taught tango for years in Argentina before moving his academy to Valencia. His style, elegant and authentic, comes from the old maestros who trained him, and he explains it step by step in every class. You will work on posture, the torso lead, connection, the walk and footwork, musicality and the technique of each role, as well as milonga and vals criollo. In our tango classes in Valencia, you will learn to dance the way they do in Buenos Aires.
“Don’t just hear about it. Come and learn true Argentine tango.”

Guided prácticas for students
Two Sundays a month, at Sala Norte, students dance what they have learned in class in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with Luciano on the floor. You dance with your classmates and improve your tango in a social setting, just as you would at a milonga.
What shoes to wear
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that hold your foot well and let you slide, ideally with suede or leather soles. For women, choose a shoe that holds the toe and the heel, with an ankle strap and a rounded, closed toe. For your first classes, whatever you have will do: don’t buy anything without asking us first.
Authentic Argentine tango in the heart of Valencia
Luciano Blanco teaches tango the way the old maestros passed it on to him: posture, the torso lead, connection, the walk, footwork, musicality, naturalness and flexibility, the technique of each role, milonga and vals criollo. He explains it as only someone can who has learned, lived and grown up with tango in Argentina, as a daily part of its culture. Come closer to the real thing: don’t just hear about it, learn true Argentine tango.

Questions
Frequently asked questions about tango classes in Valencia
Can’t find your answer? Message us or give us a call: we reply the same day.
Do I need previous experience?
No. If you have never danced, you start in the Introduction group, on Mondays at 18:00, from the very first lesson. If you already dance, we assess your level and suggest the right group: Beginners or Intermediate at 19:00, Advanced at 20:15.
Do I need a partner to come to tango classes?
No. You can come alone or as a couple, and in class everyone dances with everyone, unless they prefer not to change. Depending on when you join, the group may need balancing: when booking, tell us if you’re coming alone or with someone and we’ll tell you when to start.
How can I start dancing tango as a beginner?
With an Introduction group and a teacher: in Valencia, on Mondays at 18:00, with no partner or experience needed. The first classes work on the abrazo, posture and the walk; then come the first figures and, with the guided prácticas, your first milonga.
What language are the classes in?
In Spanish, and we also explain things in English and French: you can come even if you don’t speak Spanish yet. Our classes have students from many countries.
What shoes and clothes should I wear for the classes?
Comfortable clothes and shoes that hold your foot well and slide, ideally with suede or leather soles. For women, choose a shoe that holds the toe and the heel, with an ankle strap. For your first classes, whatever you have will do: don’t buy anything without asking us first.
Can I start at any time of the year?
Yes. The Introduction group starts from lesson one and you settle in class by class, at your own pace. Some months have fixed start dates with an offer, such as the 2-for-1 for couples on Monday 2 November. Message us and we will tell you the next Monday you can start.
Where are the tango classes in Valencia?
In two venues in the city centre. Sala Norte, on calle del Doctor Gil y Morte (Arrancapins), a 5-minute walk from Estación del Norte, hosts the weekly classes. Sala Revolta, at calle Santa Teresa 10 in the Carmen district, hosts some events. Each date in the calendar shows its venue.
How long do the classes last?
Weekly classes last 1 h or 1 h 15 depending on the group. Themed workshops last 1 h, 1 h 30 or 2 h; intensive classes (semi-private classes with personalised exercises) and guided prácticas, 1 h 30; private lessons, from one hour.
What kind of classes does Luciano Tango Valencia offer?
Four formats: weekly classes by level on Mondays, semi-private intensive classes with exercises at your level, workshops on a specific topic (women’s technique, musicality, milonga) and private lessons. In all of them you learn tango, milonga and vals criollo, and students also have guided prácticas, which alternate with the intensive classes on Sundays.
Will I learn real Argentine tango?
Yes. Luciano Blanco, born in Buenos Aires, teaches tango just as he learned it from the old maestros: posture, abrazo, walk and musicality before figures. You won’t learn mechanical steps or rigid choreographies, but how to improvise with the music and with your partner.
What is Luciano Tango Valencia’s average rating?
5.0 out of 5 on Google, with 139 reviews as of October 2026: the highest rating among tango academies in Valencia. We put it down to personal attention: exercises adapted to each student, according to their level and experience.
Are there private lessons and wedding dance lessons?
Yes. Private lessons are for all levels, on your own or as a couple, by appointment and from one hour. For weddings, we prepare your first dance as a tango, milonga or vals, with made-to-measure choreography, rehearsals and videos to practise at home.
How much does it cost?
There is no enrolment fee: weekly classes are paid by the month, intensive classes by date. We send prices when you book, based on your group and the month’s offer (in November, 2-for-1 for couples in the first month).
Where can I dance tango in Valencia?
At the city’s milongas, held almost every night of the week. If you are just starting, our guided prácticas are the step before: you dance what you have learned, with Luciano on the floor. In our free guide “Tango in Valencia”, we explain how a milonga works.
